Just three weeks after being hired by the University of Texas, the new Longhorns head football coach, Steve Sarkisian, has listed his Alabama residence for $725,000.
Sarkisian spent the last couple of seasons as the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama under the legendary coach Nick Saban, and was a part of this year's National Championship-winning Crimson Tide squad.
The well-traveled coach is now ready for a fresh start in Austin, which means he's also ready to put his Tuscaloosa, AL, residence in the rearview mirror.
The home was purchased in March 2019 for $660,000, and its asking price suggests that the coach is diagramming a strategy for a modest profit.
Set in a new gated community dubbed Maison du Lac, the home was completed in 2018, and the coach has been its only owner. It initially came on the market in April 2018 for $749,900, but languished without a buyer for nearly a year, before Sarkisian swooped in and scored a deal.
Featuring Lake Tuscaloosa views, the three-level home offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 3,800 square feet. An elevator connects all three levels.
The home's ground floor features a bonus room, which could easily be used as an office space, as well as a bedroom with a full bathroom.

On the second floor, you'll find the main living area—dominated by a fireplace in the family room that opens to the kitchen. The kitchen features antique wooden beams and high-end commercial appliances.
Multiple windows look out to lake views, and the French doors open onto a deck. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom on the second floor, which offers plenty of work-from-home flexibility.
The master suite, on the third level, includes a lavish bathroom with double vanities, a walk-in shower, oversize tub, and closet barn doors.
Sarkisian, 46, began his NCAA coaching career as the quarterbacks coach at the University of Southern California, back in 2001. He became a head coach at the University of Washington in 2009 and then migrated to the head coaching role at the University of Southern California in 2014.
After his controversial departure from the Trojans in 2015, he has held assistant roles with the Atlanta Falcons and the University of Alabama.
He signed a six-year, $34.2 million contract at the beginning of this month to take the helm of the Longhorns' football program.
